Unlike laser, Tatt2Away works with the body’s natural healing process to lift pigment out of the skin. Some colors are harder for lasers to remove and may require individual sessions per color. Some inks that look as if they’re one color are a composite of many, further complicating laser removal. Tatt2Away tattoo removal removes all colors it encounters every treatment. 

The number of treatments depends on the size of the tattoo you want removed as well as the health of your skin. Tatt2Away tattoo removal uses a 4” x 3” hexagonal pattern template with strategically spaced circular treatment tiles, also called tegulae, for maximal healing and minimal scarring. A minimum of three treatments using the hexagonal pattern is necessary for full coverage, regardless of size of the tattoo. It’s possible that one or two additional sessions will be needed to remove any missed fragments of ink.

If your tattoo is larger, two template treatments can be done at one time, but more than that puts too much stress on the body and interferes with optimal healing.

 The minimum time between each treatment is 8 weeks and increases 2 weeks with every treatment, assuming your healing is progressing optimally. Compliance with Tatt2Away’s aftercare program, and your overall health and habits, will affect both your healing and the actual time between treatments.
